Bliss Ripple is a catalog of clues— fieldnotes for living into one’s internal bliss. Compiled through the creative works of poet, artist, musician, and mama Maggie A. Bishop, Bliss Ripple explores the idea of resounding joy— how to create it and expand it through living with passionate honesty.

Here you will find poems, songs, and observations written under the influence of inspiration Maggie finds scuttling and searching amidst the varied Missouri landscape with her wonder-son, adventurer Arlo, and her artist-partner and dream confidant Josh (who is also a photographer and music promoter).

Sweet Baby Kisses,

Momma and DeeDee dog. She makes my heart so so happy.

Today I spent the day knitting and listening to a two part online lecture regarding Immanuel Kant and his work, Groundwork of the Metaphysic of Morals. We are just wrapping up our section on Kant in my Ethics class. Kant and my's relationship has been rocky, his work intimidates me. I tend to grasp is like the breeze, one moment I am aware and enlightened by its movement, but when it is still I wonder if it is there at all.

I began a knitting project today, while listening to the lectures. I recently learned to knit, and I am enamoured by it. One of my best friends taught me cast on and the knit stitch over tea one morning. Today I learned purl stitch. For the piece I am working on now I am alternating between stitches. It is a wrap for my dreads; it is patches of knit and purl stitches, I don't know how many rows of each, as I am not good at that part quite yet? I just do as many as seem fit.

I have a reading comprehension question over Kant to answer tonight before midnight. I am anxious about it and thustly avoiding it. I know that is not the right way to deal with it. I must just rally my courage and dive in deep. And then after that is done I am free to do whatever I like, which will probably consist of knitting, watching a bit of something, and then bed. I'm quite tired.

That sounds like an interesting lecture and oh my, that is the sweetest picture. I wish I knew how to knit but my hands don't want to. That's OK. You knit and I'll bake cookies today.
