Stubborn
I don't know where that aspect of her personality comes from... Certainly not her mother. But my baby doggy daughter Delilah is possibly one of the most stubborn canines you will come into contact with. Here recently we got her a really nice bed so she would have someplace soft to fall when she comes to visit us at our house. Joshua debated forever over which bed to get her, testing the softness of them all, and the size. He finally decided on one, while it was not quite as soft as this other (read: more expensive) one, he succumb and got it. We brought it home and Delilah snubbed it. She would look at it, lay beside it, even sit in it for approximately 30 seconds and then jump out. She was not impressed with our gesture and we were a bit hurt.
Today, however, we have made a giant step. As I was cleaning the house she was in the living room laying in front of the balcony door looking out the window. I decided to move her bed over there and see if she would lay in it and look out the window. She look at the bed, and then laid down right beside it. I was flabbergasted. I had even put her toy beaver in it for her, one of her favorites. I was relentless though, and walked over, lifted all 7 lbs of her and plopped her lil' butt in her lil' bed. She looked at me for a minute, and I could swear she debated hopping out of it when I left the room. She didn't though, and I am very proud of her. I even took a picture:
Josh and I were at Walgreen one day and I noticed they had a beaver toy. I exclaimed we neeeeeded it for Delilah. So we bought it and let me tell you, that is probably the best $4 we've spent in a while... It bring so much joy to the house being able to yell out, "Delilah, go get your beaver," and "Delilah sure loves her beaver." Yeah, it doesn't take much. We have been debating on names for the beaver. Josh says 'Pet', I say 'Fuzzy.' It a tough decision.

I am so in love with your dog.. and Delilah is the sweetest name! My dog has some Dachshund in her... her name is Lola Bean... but I definitely want to get a pure bred one day. :) :)
Aww.. thank you! I'm not positive what Lola has in her, when she was a puppy I thought she was a chiweenie but as she got older we changed our minds. Lots of people ask if she has Jack Russell or Min Pin in her, so I figure it's one of the two or both... but I really have no idea!
