My Womanifesto

Bliss Ripple is a catalog of clues— fieldnotes for living into one’s internal bliss. Compiled through the creative works of poet, artist, musician, and mama Maggie A. Bishop, Bliss Ripple explores the idea of resounding joy— how to create it and expand it through living with passionate honesty.

Here you will find poems, songs, and observations written under the influence of inspiration Maggie finds scuttling and searching amidst the varied Missouri landscape with her wonder-son, adventurer Arlo, and her artist-partner and dream confidant Josh (who is also a photographer and music promoter).

Someone more her size.

not too sure

Josh and I are all geared up for another weekend away from home. Last weekend we ventured to Columbia and St. Louis, which was fun and exhausting, and I still haven't blogged about it or posted my pictures from it.
The stories from that weekend come to me sporadically now and I'll think to myself, "Now there is something to write about." And then I get caught up in the whirlwind of life and forget to write. The pictures from that weekend are numerous. Including a couple of me that Josh took that I really like. Usually I freeze up like a scared 'possum when he points the camera at me, but these couple of pictures I actually look normal, which is nice.
Anyway. This weekend we are going to Josh's parent's house, down South, where we will be house sitting and doggy sitting for the Memorial Day weekend. Josh's momma has a little YorkiePoo names Chewie and it is our duty to make sure she gets outside to doody. That, and feed her and pay lots of attention to her. For added excitement (or insanity) we are taking my little ChiWeenie, Delilah, who is just about Chewie's size. Hopefully things will got better between Delilah and Chewie than they did between Delilah and Pippen (see picture). Pippen was a little too big for DeeDee to handle.

One last thing, I recently added a Twitter widget to the top lefthand side of my page. This is a place I can post little mobile blurbs from my cell phone. I'll keep updating while I'm out of town, if you want to keep up with me. Hope ya'll have a delightful Memorial Day weekend!
