My Womanifesto

Bliss Ripple is a catalog of clues— fieldnotes for living into one’s internal bliss. Compiled through the creative works of poet, artist, musician, and mama Maggie A. Bishop, Bliss Ripple explores the idea of resounding joy— how to create it and expand it through living with passionate honesty.

Here you will find poems, songs, and observations written under the influence of inspiration Maggie finds scuttling and searching amidst the varied Missouri landscape with her wonder-son, adventurer Arlo, and her artist-partner and dream confidant Josh (who is also a photographer and music promoter).

New toy.

For the past six months I have been putting up with a faulty cell phone. After dropping it countless times my first cell phone began to show signs of fading away. It was a flip phone without the flip. If I would close it too suddenly it would freak out and die, so I had to be very gentle with it. Needless to say I really needed a new phone, but I refused to pay full price for one and therefore held out until my two year mark was up. My provider is Sprint, every year they give you a discount on a new phone, so since my two years was up yesterday I cashed in and got a new phone.
It is quite a darling piece of work, I am pretty fond of it already. It is a Motorola RAZR. Mostly I like it because it boasts a 1.3 megapixel camera, which I have already implemented quite a bit:
Like last night. Josh and I went to dinner at El Vaquero and after he filled his takeout container I decided to personalize it for him... I wrote "I Heart U," and drew an arrow towards him. And then he drew an arrow towards me. Then I wrote "more," then he wrote "MORE." So, I took a picture of it, along with the handsome Mexican gentleman that graced our table and the left over chips that were saved from our hungy tummies.

And this is me and my new baby. Isn't she lovely?
