My Womanifesto

Bliss Ripple is a catalog of clues— fieldnotes for living into one’s internal bliss. Compiled through the creative works of poet, artist, musician, and mama Maggie A. Bishop, Bliss Ripple explores the idea of resounding joy— how to create it and expand it through living with passionate honesty.

Here you will find poems, songs, and observations written under the influence of inspiration Maggie finds scuttling and searching amidst the varied Missouri landscape with her wonder-son, adventurer Arlo, and her artist-partner and dream confidant Josh (who is also a photographer and music promoter).

Therapy:

My list, as it stands in my planner at the moment (here lately changes and addendums pop up out of thin air):

Wedding Stuff--
Coolers, For the receptions Iced Tea & Water.
Charcoal/lighting fluid, For the firepits we'll be lighting at the ceremony and reception.
Brown paper, To wrap the cupcake stand in.
Find hooks for bells, Christmas ornament hooks for the tiny silver bells we'll be hanging from the trees.
Email Chanel, My best friend from Indiana, to let her know I got her a hotel room.
Count chairs needed/tables, Pretty self explanitory.
Make cookies, for Pre-Ceremony. To go along with the hot cider and popcorn balls we'll be serving the guests.
Find wheelchairs, for Grandmothers.
Type out ceremony, My father (an ordained minister) is doing the ceremony and he needs something linear to keep things in order.
Signs, so people don't get lost.
Pictures/matboard, Part of our decorations are matted prints that Joshua and I have shot over time.
Sound stuff, We're providing our own soundtrack.
GARTER!! & Throw boquet, Yay! Fun stuff. I can't wait to find my garter, and hopefully have time to personalize it!

Life Stuff--
Clean bedroom, Ahhh disaster, most neglected room at the moment.
Hang bedroom curtains, The last set of curtains to hang.
Clean back porch and mudroom, Just in case someone needs to sleep back there. We are having approximately 16 houseguests the night before the wedding.
Dishes, Along the same lines at the bedroom.
Laundry, We have very little options at the moment, seeing as most all of our wardrobe is either on the floor or in baskets.

I'm feeling ever so slightly overwhelmed at the moment.
