A letter about Bliss Ripple:

Kindred Spirit,
One day, while basking in the sun with my son, I realized that if I began to take conscious, personal responsibility for my happiness in life I would change the world. It was out of that moment that Bliss Ripple came to be.
My vision for this artistic endeavor is to create resounding gladness throughout the world, by dancing into my own bliss. Joseph Campbell has said,
The way to find out about happiness is to keep your mind on those moments when you feel most happy. When you are really happy— not just excited, not just thrilled, but deeply happy. This requires a little bit of self-analysis. What is it that makes you happy? Stay with it, no matter what people tell you. This is what is called following your bliss.
The way I see it, as I devote myself to this study of bliss, as I immerse myself in it, as I share my experiences and stories, bliss will ripple throughout the world. Imagine that! Beautiful.
It is my intention that Bliss Ripple inspire all toward their own bliss and the new possibilities that lie therein. May this space be a place of delight, hope, wisdom, guidance, love, and kindness. May it be a safe haven where the dearest dreams of your heart are nurtured with the utmost gentleness, as they sprout and flourish in this world.
Most Sincerely,
Maggie Ann.
About the author:
Margaret A. Bishop is a poet & artist who abides in an ever evolving world with her partner Josh, photographer & music promoter, and their son Arlo Wade, wonder-adventurer (born September 24th, 2009).
She is the daughter of a second generation Baptist minister. Her childhood landscape was that of Southern Indiana backroads and country churches. She paid attention in Sunday school and played hide-&-go seek in cemeteries with her brother during those pitch-in dinners so favored by the Baptist. She knows Bible verses by heart and has seen what can happen when things get taken too literally. As she matured she found herself wandering and wondering about the feminine side of the Divine. She has since been overtaken with a deep, passionate love for mystical teachings of all kinds.
Her writing often reflects her journey here, and her predisposition toward attributing meaning to the seemingly mundane. She writes of motherhood with the tongue of a nun, she was converted by birth, into something more sincere, raw, and real.
She doesn’t pretend to have it all figured out. She knows things get messy, but there is always stillness in the eye of the storm, and she seeks to find rhyme in the seemingly unreasonable.
She is so glad you are here.
